I chose Jessica Broad because of her originality. Most of her pieces are interesting to look at and are very well made. This has inspired me in my future pieces to incorporate different textures, to not be afraid to get out of my comfort zone, and to try to make new things.
I chose Bethany Benson because of her choice of style in ceramics. She goes for a delicate look choosing lighter colors and painting softer things on her artwork. On this piece she decided to paint on a delicate picture of a woman and I believe this shows originality, talent, and hard work. Her work inspired me in my next art piece to focus on my details and be more delicate.Photographer Mauricio Alejo uses everyday objects to create gravity-defying arrangements within his apartment, staging curious interventions on his kitchen counters and filing cabinets. I like how interesting his pieces are and how complex it can seem even with the simplest tools. I like his style of simplicity and it is interesting to look at.
Antonella Cimatti was born in Italy and fell in love with its history . In ceramics her goal is to give her pieces "lightness " in not only weight but visually as well. She incorporates her love for history with ceramics by designing some thing based off past European style. She likes to play with her pieces and the spaces where they can be put to connect with her viewers. Her pieces have color and stand out. I chose her because I like the style she puts in her work.
